Your extended health benefits plan has a preferred pharmacy arrangement. If you purchase eligible medications at either Costco or Express Scripts Canada (ESC), you will be reimbursed at 90% of the cost instead of the usual 80%.

Prescriptions are conveniently delivered to your home or an address you choose at no additional cost (some restrictions apply).

Costco Canada can be used for your short-term prescriptions. A Costco membership is not required to use their pharmacy. Just inform the person at the front that you are going to the Pharmacy.

Express Scripts Canada is intended for long-term prescriptions, such as maintenance drugs used to treat chronic conditions. ESC manages refills and prescription transfers. Pharmacists are on call 24/7. To sign up for ESC go to pharmacy.express-scripts.ca or call 1-855-550-6337.

You will need:

  • A 30-day supply for each maintenance drug you take.
  • You should have at least one refill for each of your maintenance drugs on file at another pharmacy to transfer.
  • Your Blue Cross prescription drug card – and any other coverage you have.
  • All maintenance medications you are currently taking.
  • Your VIP Code: MPSE
